After the diagnosis

Answers can bring new questions.

You may have received an assessment report and a list of services, but still be wondering where to begin. Or you may be looking for a different approach to support.

Your questions deserve time, attention and clear answers. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

At Bloom Abilities, we start by listening.

There is room for your questions

  • What does autism mean for my child?
  • Which supports should we consider?
  • What happens during ABA therapy?
  • How can I help my child at school?

Our story

A personal journey.
A purpose beyond therapy.

Founded by a husband and wife, Bloom grew from their experience of finding support for their child.

Read our full story

My husband and I founded Bloom Abilities to offer the kind of partnership I wished we had found. Professional support that sees a child’s potential, explains the process and listens to the family.

Every family’s experience is different. I will never assume that yours is the same as mine. But I understand why being heard, informed and included matters.

Meaningful progress

What matters in
your child’s world?

Progress is personal. We begin with your child’s strengths, interests and needs, alongside the priorities you share with us.

Their comfort, communication and choices belong at the centre of their support.

Everyday goals might look like…

  • Having a say

Making a choice or asking for help.

  • Joining in

Taking part in a favourite game or shared activity.

  • Learning a routine

Practising a classroom routine or an everyday task.

Examples, not promised outcomes. Goals depend on your child’s individual needs.

Understanding the approach

ABA therapy,
explained clearly.

The starting point is your child.

Explore ABA therapy

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is an approach to understanding how people learn and behave. It helps us teach useful skills and understand how a child’s surroundings affect their learning.

At Bloom Abilities, trained behaviour therapists provide ABA under the close supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst.

We explain what we plan to teach, why it matters and how we will review progress. You help shape that plan.

Keeping your family involved

A clear view of
your child’s support.

You are an important part of your child’s care team. What you notice helps us understand what works and what feels difficult. It also helps us see whether your child uses new skills outside therapy.

Clear goals. Open conversations. A plan you help shape.

  1. We explain your child’s goals and how we plan to teach each skill.

  2. We discuss progress and skills that need more support.

  3. We welcome your questions and concerns throughout the program.

  4. We arrange times for you to observe sessions while respecting your child’s comfort and privacy.

  5. We help you use relevant strategies in everyday routines.
