See each step from first contact to support
From the first conversation to regular progress reviews, here is how we work with your family.
Contact Bloom
Use the short contact form or email us. Please leave medical records and detailed health information out of the website form.
Free first conversation
We meet by phone or your preferred remote format, with time shaped around your family’s needs. We ask questions, explain our services and discuss whether we can help. This is not an assessment and does not mean clinical care has started.
Share information
If you want to go ahead, we explain how to share the records we need. Tell us about communication or access needs so we can discuss the available options.
Assess needs and plan support
We usually assess your child’s needs before their service starts. The assessment depends on their needs and the service. The responsible professional reviews the findings with you. Together, you can plan support or discuss another provider.
Understand and agree to the plan
Before you agree to care, we explain the goals, schedule and fees. We also explain who provides and supervises care, cancellation terms, how we protect your information and when we will review progress. You can ask questions before deciding.
Start support and review progress
You and the professional responsible for care review progress at agreed times. Goals, session frequency or services may change as your child’s needs change.
When you're ready

Questions are welcome
Common questions.
Find answers to some of the questions families ask before getting started.
Ask us a questionWhat happens in the first conversation?
The first conversation is free. We ask what you would like help with and explain our services. Its length depends on your family’s needs. It is not a clinical assessment.
How does the first conversation take place?
You can choose a phone call or a remote format that suits your family, such as Teams, Zoom or Google Meet. Tell us your preference when you contact us. In-person introductory conversations are not currently available.
When will we hear back?
Expect a reply within 48 hours. Enquiry hours are Monday to Saturday, 9 AM–5 PM, excluding statutory holidays. These hours do not describe programme or therapy schedules.
How do we find out about fees and availability?
Tell us the service you are considering, your child’s age, your city and your preferred times. Ask about fees, assessment or travel charges, start dates and any waitlist. Confirm these details before you agree to a plan.
Do we need a diagnosis to contact Bloom?
No. Some services may be available without a diagnosis. We will discuss what you need and whether a service, an assessment or another provider could help. A written autism diagnosis is required to register for the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).
Can my child use more than one service?
Yes, if the services meet your child’s needs and are available. With your consent, team members can work together on goals and recommendations. Each professional remains responsible for their own service.
How long will services last?
This depends on the service, your child’s needs and progress, your preferences and available funding. We discuss the schedule and review dates before support starts. Groundwork at Bloom runs in twelve-week terms, with set hours and a set price for each term.
Can services take place at school?
This depends on your child’s needs, school-board permission, schedules and your service agreement. We will explain what is possible. School and IEP guidance is a paid service; ask about fees before you agree to support. IEP means Individual Education Plan.
What if Bloom is not the right provider?
We will explain what we can and cannot offer. Where possible, we will suggest another type of professional or resource to contact.
